On behalf of the Cline Family, we thank you for joining Team Live Like JoJo. It is impossible to express entirely our gratitude to you for walking along side us or donating on Jojo's behalf. We thank you for your gracious sacrifice and intention to take the time and funds to be a part of celebrating his life on this walk. Jordan Kalua Cline, was born on the beautiful afternoon of October 28, 2010. He, one of four bustling boys, filled the home with love, joy, and absolute craziness! He will forever be known for his ability to connect, to love fully, and to live life. After three years of insufficient weight gains and and other issues, he was ultimately diagnosed with Mitochondrial Deletion Syndrome. Compared to most others, the expanse of his deletion was incredibly significant. They told us, ”You may have him for 2 weeks or 20 years, or somewhere in between”. At a precious 7 years of age, Jordan took his last breath on February 5th, 2018...there are no words for that day and every day thereafter without him. It is not hyperbole to say he was a light wherever he went. Jordan (or Jojo as we affectionately called him) had an amazing resilience to love life no matter what came his way. Some consistent aspects of this life included a pacemaker, feeding tube, 4 different eye drops, 12 daily meds 3x daily, blood draws, and frequent appointments with his PT, OT, Speech Therapist, Primary Pediatrician, Metabolics, Nephrology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Opthalmology, E.N.T., and Pulmonology. While these aspects were demanding physically, mentally, and emotionally, he somehow remained unencumbered by it all. Jordan Kalua Cline's legacy without doubt, will be connected to his amazing gift to make you feel like YOU mattered to him and each minute he had with you, he was going to make the best of it. His repertoire included puzzle master, dance extraordinaire, aspiring chessman, superior hugger, bossman, skilled cowboy, humble chef, creator of complex "army men" scenes, name repeater, obstacle course genius, notable negotiator, gondola-riding karaoke guy, head turner(those eyelashes), experienced chocolatier, waiting room friend-maker, family man, clinic ambassador, church greeter, coloring page risk-taker, cheerleader, seasoned traveler, America Ninja Warrior superfan, and premier lover of people. Jordan spent many days, hours, and weeks under the outstanding care of the CHOC physicians and staff....we will forever be grateful! We invite each one of you to join TEAM LIVE LIKE JOJO and walk in Jordan's honor at the annual CHOC Walk at Disneyland on Sunday, August 11. We will continue to send updates and details(you must register to receive these). We encourage posts or sharing of this event and story, please include #livelikejojo and #choc walk Many Thanks, Team Live Like Jojo
